According to Tom Bogert, Serie A side Bologna has set its sights on American youth talent Cade Cowell. The negotiations are still in progress, with no final decision on the offer. It is also being reported that San Jose is engaging with other clubs as well, exploring potential opportunities for the 19-year-old rising star.
The USMNT winger signed a Homegrown Player contract with the San Jose Earthquakes in 2019. Cowell’s impressive record includes 9 caps with the USMNT(including youth) and 96 appearances for San Jose.
If the San Jose product does end up in Serie A, he will be yet another talent headed to Italy, a new hot bed for American soccer players.
