Originally from Pennsylvania, Chirila’s love for the game began at home. His father, who grew up playing soccer in Romania, taught his sons the game and helped nurture their passion for soccer.
From there, the FC Cincinnati striker developed his skills at home, playing against his brother and in futsal. This development obviously contributed to his creativity and ability to generate his own offense, skills that he utilizes effortlessly today.
Before joining FC Cincinnati, Chirila spent over six years as a midfielder with the prestigious Philadelphia Union academy. It was not until he got his shot at practice with the Ohio-based club at striker that his now well-known clinical finishing ability came to light.
With 41 goals (at the time of writing), the young attacker has become a key player with FCC’s U17 team. With his size, technical ability, and clinical finishing, there’s no reason why Chirila won’t continue his good form at the next level. I would not be surprised if we see the young striker get a chance on the big stage at some point in the near future.
