U.S. Soccer and CBS Sports have struck a major multimedia rights deal, making CBS the exclusive English-language home for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through 2026. Starting in the Third Round, every match will stream live on Paramount+, with select fixtures airing on CBS Sports Network and the CBS Sports Golazo Network. This agreement brings national spotlight and serious exposure to the most historic expression of American soccer.
The U.S. Open Cup, now in its 110th edition, is more than just a tournament—it’s a symbol of open access to competition, history and the only domestic tournament that we have that resembles that of Europe. There was fear that the historic cup was being left in the past when the MLS (Major League Soccer) opted not to enter its first teams into the 2025 edition, a move that has stirred conversation across the American soccer community.
This marks a renewed support for the US‘s oldest and most historic tournament. Also, with the explosive news of the USL’s promotion – relegation these matches have more interesting than ever.
All Open Cup matches will stream live on Paramount+ from the Third Round through the Final, with select games airing on CBS Sports Network and CBS Sports Golazo.
